My
Story

I’ve always loved painting and art; it makes my heart happy and helps me navigate my emotions and challenges. During a difficult period of illness and the mental health struggles that came with it, painting became my way of healing, quite literally painting myself happy. The first piece I created during that time was my Perky Pixie, a symbol of resilience and joy. Overcoming that challenge inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a professional artist. That first painting later became the inspiration for my logo, a daily reminder of what art means to me and a celebration of its healing power.
I was excited to share the happiness art brings me with others. As I began showing my work and talking about it, people connected with it, buying my art to brighten their homes. I was truly inspired by how much children were drawn to my colourful, joyful paintings and how they sparked a desire in them to create their own.
This moved me to create artwork for children and run art workshops to teach them the techniques I use. As I worked with them, I naturally shared how I use art to express emotions and work through challenges. I noticed that many children hadn’t encountered this idea before and it deeply resonated with them. They were engaged, inspired and excited to discover how creativity can be a powerful tool for self-care. That’s when I realised, I could use my passion to champion mental health and wellbeing through art, encouraging children to explore what makes their hearts happy.
When I had my own son three years ago, I became even more invested in children’s mental health and began studying the subject. Now, my artistic practice is focused on enriching children’s lives through the power of art for emotional wellbeing, sharing my passion and personal experience. My goal is to inspire children to express themselves creatively, giving them tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and joy.
Through my work with schools, I help children engage more in education, feel included in their community and develop positive outlets for expressing difficult emotions, empowering them to take control of their feelings and actions.
Happy art for the best start!
