I’m forever inspired by the beauty of nature and the world around me. I love exploring the countryside, soaking in the textures, colours and ever-changing light in the landscape. I’m lucky to live in the stunning North Yorkshire countryside, surrounded by amazing walks and breathtaking views.

 

This collection is inspired by all the golden scenes I’ve loved, from the rolling hills of Devon and the tranquillity of the Lake District to the wild, rugged valleys of Northumberland.

 

I used a variety of textures and mediums, experimenting on the canvas to create something completely unique. From real flowers, dried and carefully applied to the canvas, to layers of thick acrylic mediums and carving techniques. Pastels and acrylic inks highlight the variety of textures. Light dances over these textures, enhanced by the vibrant colours and gold leaf.
