The Perky Painter is the passion and heart of Artist Helen Gibson. Helen creates bright, spirited artwork, inspired by looking and seeing beyond the norm into a world of colour, texture and personality. Helen draws inspiration from the natural world and the British countryside.

In the first abstract pieces of this style, the ‘Summer Bouquets’ Collection, Helen was inspired by flowers. The collection’s aim, to brighten your home and spirit in the same way as a colourful bouquet. The reactions to these uplifting paintings were so happy that the new works are inspired by these ‘wows’. In these new paintings, Helen explores creating joy through colour, using energetic applications of pure paint with palette knives, motivated by her audience.
